The Bothy can be let along with Garden Cottage. Which would provide sleeping arrangements of:

1 kingsize bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedded rooms, and 1 bedroom with 3 single beds sleeping 11 persons in total.

The Bothy

The Bothy, Achnashellach. The cottage stands in the same beautiful gardens and peaceful location as Garden Cottage. It has been completely renovated over the winter of 2008/09. On entering The Bothy, there is a convenient lobby with plenty of space for outdoor clothing and footwear.

The lounge is comfortably furnished with 2 two seater leather sofas, a TV and DVD player. There is a traditional open fireplace. Under the window overlooking the garden there is a small dining table, where guests can enjoy their meals.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a fridge freezer, full size electric cooker with oven, grill and hot plates. A small microwave oven, toaster and a very good selection of quality pans, crockery and cutlery. The sink overlooks a pleasant private garden area to the rear of The Bothy. There is a separate area off the kitchen which houses a washing machine, and 'kitchen maid' clothes airer. There are all the usual domestic items ie hoover, iron and ironing board, sweeping brush and mop.

The bedrooms are upstairs, one double and one twin bedroom. All of the beds are new (2009). There is plenty of space for clothes in the wardrobes and chest of drawers. Both bedrooms are spacious with wooden floors and rugs for comfort.

Both bedrooms also have beautiful views over the private garden.

The bathroom is located upstairs in The Bothy. It has a bath with an electric power shower, toilet and wash hand basin. There is an electric heated towel rail. All of the remaining rooms in The Bothy have electric storage heaters, all the heating and hot water is included in the price. This is a warm and cosy cottage which has been well thought out for the maxium comfort of the guests.

The Bothy is a few hundred yards away from the Lair River, which has a waterfall near to the cottage. This is not in the grounds of the cottage but there is no fencing so parents need to be aware of this if they bring their children.
