Moriston Cottage

Moriston Cottage is conveniently located in the village within easy walking distance of the shops and local hotel. Visitors enjoy the convenience of being able to walk to the shops for the paper in the morning and eat out in the evening without having to take the car.

This is a comfortable cottage all on one floor that accommodates 4 people with ease. It provides a home from home that is delightfully cool in Summer and cosily warm in Winter. It has recently been entirely refurnished and equipped. The house has oil-fired central heating, which is included in the price and brand new bed linen and towels which are also included. Linen is changed weekly.

There is a handy entrance porch for leaving outdoor wear and footwear etc., which leads into the spacious sitting/dining room. Th lounge provides a comfortable and homely place to relax. The main feature of the room is the large exposed stone wall around the fireplace. Two sofas - one large and one small - provide relaxing seating, complemented by a dining table and chairs plus occasional tables and lamps. There is a TV/video/DVD/CD/MP3 for all round entertainment and a cassette radio.

The double bedroom at the rear of the house faces north and looks out onto the private terraced garden. There is a very comfortable double bed and a bedside table. The twin bedroom faces south at the front of the property and is very spacious. There are two comfortable single beds and a bedside table. Both bedrooms have ample shelving and hanging space in the fitted wardrobes.

The kitchen looks out over the back garden. It is small, and very well equipped. The kitchenware and crockery etc are new (2005). There is a fridge/freezer, a microwave and an electric cooker. The floor has recently been recovered and the walls repainted. Next to the kitchen is a long utility/boiler room which houses the washer/dryer and dishwasher. Stored here are the clothes airer, vacuum cleaner and ironing board. Access to the back garden is through this room.

The bathroom is neat and warm with a cork tile floor. There is a bath with shower over and there is a useful airing cupboard.

The garden, which has a small burn running through it, is a pleasing and useful bonus to this cottage. It is kept tidy and has terracing with grassed areas, around which there are shrubs and flowers. There is a table with chairs for you to sit in the garden and relax.
