Carron Restaurant restaurant on the south shore of Lochcarron. Ideal for most whether it is a morning coffee, light lunch, scrummy baking, or evening meal, everything is freshly made on the premises.

Strathcarron Hotel. Bar and restaurant meals, a hearty portion and friendly service.

The Bistro. Although quite small always an interesting menu. Booking is recommended.

Waterside Cafe. A warm welcome and food cooked to order. Take away food as well as sit in / or out if the sun is shining.

Rockvilla Guest House Licenced restaurant, booking recommended.

Kishorn Seafood Bar, just 15 minutes max from Lochcarron, try Seafood caught and prepared locally!The Seafood platter is the best anywhere in Scotland, king scallops, queen scallops, langoustines, crabs, oysters, mussels, squat lobster tails - can't be missed!!!!

Applecross Inn well worth a visit, but remember to book especially if you are visiting in the summer months!

A little further along the road, you will find the Tigh an Eilean Hotel and the Coastal Kitchen, in the beautiful village of Shieldaig.

A set dinner at The Torridon is in the region of £45, this is a spectacular location, a country house hotel on the shores of Loch Torridon. The nearby Torridon Inn offers bar meals.

Maya Chocolates Located in Strathpeffer, a fine chocolate maker ideal gifts for those chocoholics in the family.

The Isle of Skye Baking Company Portree, Isle of Skye, when visiting Skye dont forget to take home the oatcake, and shorbread from this bakery - mmmm scrummy.

If your interests are more inclined to the liquids when you are on Skye why not visit the Isle of Skye Brewery shop,  in the North at Uig.

A special lunch or dinner in the luxurious Michelin Star restaurant at Kinloch Lodge, may be just what you are looking for to treat yourself? Lady Clare MacDonald's Highland Hotel.

One more for your Skye choices The Three Chimneys, Nr Dunvegan, the use of locally produced products is impressive, Lunches in the region of £30 pp.

Ullapool Bakery If your heading North from Lochcarron, and reach Ullapool the breads from this bakery are to fab! Or if you are in Lochcarron when the Producers Market is on in the village hall, Ullapool Bakery ofter have a stall.

Cheese to go with that! Achmore Dairy, cheeses made on the premises, and only 15 minutes from Lochcarron.

While your in Ullapool, dont forget to visit the Summer Isles Foods Fish Smokery at The Smokehouse, pop in an watch the smoking process, then take home some wonderful smokes salmon, or smoked cheese.
